BLS Enterprises offers any established dealer the opportunity to buy BLS products at a discounted price. Dealers are offered this discount because their purchases are for resale and due to their high sales volume and repeated purchases from BLS. BLS imposes no exclusivity of geographical area except for the countries of Mexico and Japan, and no stocking or inventory requirement is expected of any dealer. BLS has long realized that it cannot sell directly to every customer, and so it encourages local dealers, who best know the needs of their own customers, to offer quality BLS products to those customers. BLS is also aware that the local dealer is in the best position to offer its customers value-added services, such as installation and evaluation of individual problems and needs.

Not One Pad Out of 750 Needed to be Returned

Many dealers, who have purchased from BLS Enterprises over last twenty years, have found their relationship with BLS to be a very positive one, both for themselves and their customers. Long-time BLS dealer Western Power and Equipment of Seattle, Washington, sold over 750 TUFPADS^® track pads to their customer, Cascade Cable Constructors, in 1995 and 1996, and not one of those track pads ever needed to be returned due to any defect of manufacture or premature wear. Contractor Buys TUFPADS^® Equipped Machine

A BLS dealer, Miller-Bradford and Risberg, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, had a typically happy experience when they leased a Kobelco SK120 excavator equipped with TUFPADS^® track pads to a local contractor who was doing a sewer pipe replacement project under the streets of Green Bay. Another dealer leased the same contractor an excavator using continuous rubber tracks. At the end of the lease period, the contractor decided to purchase the Kobelco machine, saying that the TUFPADS^® track pads had played a major role in his decision to buy that machine. He stated that he was impressed by the fact that the TUFPADS^® did not slip off of the track, as the continuous rubber tracks often did, and that the TUFPADS^® track pads provided the traction and protection on the streets, curbs, and grass that he needed to complete the job.

In 1986, Barry Stoughton, president of BLS, responded to a need voiced by a contractor for "good street pads" for steel track heavy construction equipment that would protect working surfaces and would not disintegrate or chunk out the way rubber did. Contractors were spending a great deal of time, money and labor just to keep ahead of the destruction of the rubber pads on their machines, not to mention the loss in machine downtime.

Mr. Stoughton proposed using high-strength polyurethane instead of rubber to give contractors the protection they were looking for, along with a greatly increased operational lifetime. Thus TUFPADS^® polyurethane track pads were created.
